Embrun Family Karate Club Curriculum

Building Stronger Families Through Martial Arts – Confidence, Discipline, and Fun for All Age

A curriculum built for growth

At Embrun Family Karate Club, students begin by developing strong fundamentals in balance and solid stances—essential building blocks for effective movement and technique. From there, they learn a wide range of blocks, kicks, and strikes, gaining confidence in both offensive and defensive skills.

Self-defense is a core part of our curriculum. Students are trained to respond to real-world scenarios, including defending against holds and grabs, hand strikes and kicks, knife attacks, club attacks, and even multiple opponents. These techniques are taught with a focus on control, awareness, and practical application.

As students progress, they study traditional katas such as the Palama Sets and Chuan’fa forms. These structured sequences not only build muscle memory and discipline but also include related self-defense techniques that reinforce their practical value.

For those interested in sport fighting, our curriculum includes world-class Kumite training and boxing. These high-energy classes help students refine their timing, speed, and strategy while preparing them for competitive environments.
